Artscape

Friday night Michael and I walked about 20 blocks straight down Charles St. to Artscape- an annual festival put on by the Mayor's office. The budget this year was $800,000 which means the headliners were Boyz II Men (they must be men by now, yes?). It's free and about 1 million people attend over three days. The festival is so massive that we missed the Boyz completely and ended up near the Disco Biscuits, who weren't bad background music at all.

This is Ray Charles in 2001 (for you Katy!). Last year the Violent Femmes played. I saw them at Music Midtown many ages ago and the show was awesome. Ah, well.

Artscape was great and it gave me all sort of fuzzies about the city.
